Bootstrapping the String Kawai-Lewellen-Tye Kernel

چکیده
We show that double-copy maps for amplitudes in effective field theory are severely constrained at four points by self-consistency and locality six points. The resulting kernel depends only on two parameters as well a specific symmetric function $s$, $t$, $u$ interpolates between the original Kawai-Lewellen-Tye (KLT) string double copy open closed period integrals. Amplitudes copied with this map must obey either monodromy relations or Kleiss-Kuijf (KK) Bern, Carrasco, Johansson (BCJ) relations; there no other options. Our construction elucidates ``single-valued projection'' property of Riemann zeta-function values four-point copy.

The Kawai-Lewellen-Tye (KLT) relations derived from string theory tell us that perturbative gravity amplitudes are the “square” of the corresponding amplitudes in gauge theory. Starting from the light-cone Lagrangian for pure gravity we make these relations manifest off-shell, for threeand four-graviton vertices, at the level of the action.
متن کاملGravity and Form Scattering and Renormalisation of Gravity in Six and Eight Dimensions
We calculate one-loop scattering amplitudes for gravitons and two-forms in dimensions greater than four. The string based Kawai-Lewellen-Tye relationships allow gravitons and two-forms to be treated in a unified manner. We use the results to determine the ultra-violet infinities present in these amplitudes and show how these determine the renormalised one-loop action in six and eight dimensions...
متن کاملPerturbative Relationships between Qcd and Gravity and Some Implications
We discuss nontrivial examples illustrating that perturbative gravity is in some sense the ‘square’ of gauge theory. This statement can be made precise at tree-level using the Kawai, Lewellen and Tye relations between open and closed string tree amplitudes. These relations, when combined with modern methods for computing amplitudes, allow us to obtain loop-level relations, and thereby new super...
متن کاملString Re-writing Kernel
Learning for sentence re-writing is a fundamental task in natural language processing and information retrieval. In this paper, we propose a new class of kernel functions, referred to as string re-writing kernel, to address the problem. A string re-writing kernel measures the similarity between two pairs of strings, each pair representing re-writing of a string. It can capture the lexical and s...
متن کاملThe Spectrum Kernel: A String Kernel for SVM Protein Classification
We introduce a new sequence-similarity kernel, the spectrum kernel, for use with support vector machines (SVMs) in a discriminative approach to the protein classification problem. Our kernel is conceptually simple and efficient to compute and, in experiments on the SCOP database, performs well in comparison with state-of-the-art methods for homology detection. Moreover, our method produces an S...
